Closing at a record for a second session, the S&P 500 SPX +0.66%  gained 11.35 points, or 0.7%, at 1,744.50, up 2.4% for the week. Technology paced sector gains among its 10 major industries.

Epic Research Singapore : Comex Market Update

November crude CLX3 +0.19% rose 14 cents, or 0.1%, to settle at $100.81 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Prices had settled at a more than three-month low on Thursday.

Epic Research Singapore : Hang Seng Index

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index HK:HSI +1.06%  closed with a 1.1% gain, rising 245.22 points to 23,340.10. The Shanghai Composite Index CNHCOMP +0.24%  finished up 0.2%, rising by 5.24 points to 2,193.78.
